FREE COMMUNITY WELLNESS TALK — YARDWORK ERGONOMICS WORKSHOP

Love spending time in your yard, but hate how you feel the next day?

Bending, weeding, lifting, and digging. Your yard work is already a massive workout — let’s make sure it doesn’t cost you your body.

Aching lower back? Stiff knees? Sore shoulders? Most yard work injuries and aches don’t happen from one big accident. They happen from repetitive movements, heavy lifting, and using your tools in ways your joints hate.

But your body is built to move — you just need to know how to work with it, not against it.

This month, Therapeutic Connection invites you to a highly practical, hands-on evening:
Yardwork Ergonomics Workshop: Work Smarter in Your Yard
In this interactive workshop, Carolyn will show you how to transform heavy yard labor into a safe, sustainable workout for a stronger, pain-free body.

You’ll discover:
The right way to lift, bend, and shovel without wrecking your lower back
How to modify your posture during weeding and planting to protect your knees and back
Ergonomic secrets to prevent shoulder and wrist strain from heavy tools
Simple pacing and stretching strategies to use right in the garden
How to protect your joints so you can keep doing what you love for years to come

WHAT TO BRING: Bring your favorite yard tools with you! Carolyn will look at how you use them and show you exactly how to handle them smarter.

Expect a relaxed, welcoming environment with practical adjustments you can start using during your very next outdoor project.

Led by Carolyn Silan, PT, CGCP, CEAS, CSCS (R) — bringing over 30 years of clinical experience helping people move better, hurt less, and live more fully.
