But first we will learn together what is causing your problem with a thorough initial evaluation.

After evaluation, we will explore the most appropriate techniques to address your unique problem set. This may include performing certain corrective exercises, receiving manual therapy, learning how to perform techniques at home, and managing your condition or injury to initially recover and then foster prevention/maintenance.

  • On your first visit, we perform a functional assessment and get an idea of your current fitness level. Tests for strength, balance and flexibility are performed. An exercise regimen is then developed based on your fitness status and progressed as your fitness markers change.

Re-assessment is performed at every visit as you improve, strengthen what muscles are weak or inhibited, gain length in muscles that are short and overcome challenges to your balance.

Beyond muscles and balance, your myofascia is addressed with a short session of self release techniques. Often previously overlooked in Personal Training regimens, this is an important facet of every thorough workout.

  • I can come to your pool or, if you are a member of the Waikoloa Village Association, I can work with you the WVA Pool!

Sessions are 1 hour in duration and involve exercises for your upper and lower body, your core, cardiovascular work and stretching.

Exercises are varied if that is how you work or we come up with a routine if that works better for you.

Enjoy how gentle the water can make your workout feel and heal at the same time! You will notice fatigue after your workout at first and as we progress your workout. As you become more conditioned, your Aquatic Therapy session will become invigorating!
