I've endured excruciating pain from sitting since I was 20. No surface—whether a tub, floor, stone bench, or wooden pew—was comfortable. Even sitting on the toilet was painful. I carry sit pads everywhere: in my truck, hiking pack, and on my door for quick grabs. At times, I could only tolerate lying down or walking for more than 10 minutes, severely impacting my daily life.

This experience led me to master overcoming the hazards of sitting. As a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and Physical Therapist, I've developed simple techniques to improve daily activities and promote well-being. I've perfected staying active even in a desk chair and have embraced my sit-to-stand desk!
